Quoting Qur’an doesn’t make you a good Muslim, following the Qur’an does. Saying you follow the footsteps of the Prophet doesn’t mean you’re on the right path, actually implementing that into your life and understanding that you will never be anywhere near his level of iman means you’re on the right path to being on the right path. So just associating yourself with a sect or running off at the mouth about your holiness is not enough. Especially from a lot of people that spout their “knowledge”.
